HELPING GRAZIERS
QUEENSLAND GRANTS LONG LEASES (United P.A.—By Telegraph — Copyright) BRISBANE, Thursday. A valuable contribution toward the stabilisation of grazing leases in Queensland is the McCormack Government’s acceptance of the land board’s proposal to grant long leases to Crown tenants. This has been the subject of considerable agitation on behalf of graziers, who have been hit badly by drought in recent years. The board advised the Government that if the country is to be well improved effectively-worked long leases which confer a security of tenure are absolutely essential.
