CAPTAIN SUSPENDED

IRON CHIEF WRECK (United P.A. — By Telegraph Copyright) SYDNEY, Wednesday. The Marine Court which inquired into the loss of the ship Iron Chief, which went ashore on April 2 on the Mermaid Reef, south of Port Macquarie, has delivered its judgment. The Court found the charge against Captain Eric Barron sustained, that he showed carelessness in navigating the vessel, and also that the navigation of the vessel generally showed over-confidence on the part of the master and a lack of appreciation of his responsibilities as master. The Court suspended his certificate for six months from April 1.
