Belmont and Bayswater League of Mothers in St. Michael’s Hall, Belmont, at 2.30 p.m. to-morrow (Friday) afternoon. * * * Mrs. M. Williams, of Hamilton, is visiting Auckland. Mrs. R. Tomlinson, of Wellington, is visiting Auckland. Miss H. Jenkinson, of Christchurch, is visiting Auckland. Mrs. W. Faulkiner is a visitor from Wellington to Auckland. At the Central Hotel are Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Skinner, of Sydney. Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Barker, of Gisborne, are at the Grand Hotel. Mrs. Berry, of Christchurch, is spending five weeks in Auckland. Miss X. Mander, of Dunedin, is staying with friends in Auckland. Mrs. Q. Wright, of Auckland, is staying at Hamilton for a few days. * * * Mrs. P. Stainton has returned to New Plymouth from a visit to Auckland. Mr. and Mrs. Thompson, of Kailaia, are the guests of Mrs. M. Masters, in Hamilton. *. * * Miss Thelma Banks, of Cambridge, is visiting her aunt, Mrs. T. McLaughlin, of JEpsom. * * * Mr, and Mrs. F. Barnard Brown left by the Niagara on Tuesday for Western Australia. Dr. and Mrs. Aubin, of Auckland, have been visiting Mrs. A. Ramsay, of Millerest, Hamilton. * * * Mrs. John Ivearn, of Oamaru, who has been visiting Auckland, returned to the South yesterday. Mrs. Adair Blythe, of Napier, is paying a visit to Auckland and is staying at Stonehurst. Mi.ss Biddy Philcox, of Parnell, has returned to town after spending three months’ holiday in. Christchurch. Mr. and Mrs. U. Hardcastle and Mr. and Mrs. Lambert, of * Gisborne, are staying at the Commercial Hotel. Mr. and Mrs. Colson, of New Plymouth, who have been staying at Royal Court, have returned home. Mr. -and Mrs. Tombs, of Marton, and Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Simpson, of Christchurch, a,re among those at the Royal Hotel. At the Albert Hotel are Mr. and M.rs. J. S. Williams, of Cambridge, and Mr. and Mrs. F. Montague, of Te Aroha. Mrs. E. Souter and Miss Souter, who have been holidaying at Narrow Neck, have returned to their home in Cambridge.
Mr. and Mrs. Luke B. Wilson, of Stratford, who have been spending a holiday in Auckland, left for Rotorua yesterday. Mrs. F. W. Weston and Miss E. M. Weston, of Takapuna, left by the Niagara on Tuesday on a holiday visit to Australia. Mr. and M,rs. William Elliot, of Mountain Road, leave from Wellington by the Remuera on Saturday for a visit to England. Mr. and Mrs. E. D. Clarke, of Melbourne, a.re staying at the Hotel Cargen. Mr. Clarke has just returned from trout-fishing at Lake Taupo. Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Twohill and Master P. Twohill, of the Clarendon Hotel, Auckland, are leaving by the Marama to-morrow for Melbourne. Mrs. C. B. Plummer, of Auckland, who has been in Rotorua for a week, is at present in Hamilton, where she is the guest of her daughter, Mrs. Hubert Hammond. Miss Ivy Baker, v/ho for three | months has been the guest Mrs. Andrew' M. Paterson, of Remuera Road, returned to Sydney by the Niagara this week. At the Star Hotel are Mr. and Mrs. G. Williams, of W'ellington, Mr. and Mrs. J. Stewart, of Sydney, Mrs. W. Graham, of New Plymouth, and Miss M. Webber, of Dargaville. Mrs. W. Taylor and Miss Betty Taylor, of Hamilton, have gone to Auckland. Miss Betty Taylor is going in for Ivaritane work and takes up her new duties early next week. Guests at the Hotel Cargen include Mr. ancl Mrs. S. Maddock, of Sydney, Mr: and Mrs. Akers, of Palmerston North, Miss Jago, Miss De Yere and Miss Bradford, of Melbourne. Miss Phyllis Newcomb, of Epsom, is til© guest of Mr. and Mrs. C. Morrison of Cashmere Hills, Christchurch. Before returning to her home she will visit Mr. and Mrs. M. Rudd, of Fen- : dalton. Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Ward arrived from South Africa by the Marama on Tuesday on a visit to the Dominion. Mr. Ward was formerly a sergeantmajor of the Southern Rhodesia Mounted Police. Mrs. David Murray. of Orongo, Cambridge, and Miss Wrigley, of Station Terrace, Remuera, by the Marama or* Friday for Sydney, en route to Queensland, where they intend spending the winter.
