UNUSUAL CHARGE
allegations of threat mechanic BEFORE court (From Our Own Correspondent) HAMILTON, Wednesday. A special sitting of the Police Court *'as held to-day, when a Hamilton resident, Cuthbert Sydney Whyman, mechanic, aged 39, was charged before justices that on or about February 28, at Hamilton, with intent to JXtort the sum of £2O from Henry he caused the latter to receive a letter containing a threat to accuse him of committing an offence Punishable by law with imprisonment. Accused was remanded until May 2. *fau was allowed in two sureties of £2OO.
