ESCAPE FROM BORSTAL
YOUTH’S BID FOR FREEDOM Press Association. INVERCARGILL, Wednesday. Another youth, Thomas George Flanigan, aged 18, who was serving a sentence of three years, escaped from the Borstal Institution yesterday afternoon. He is said to have been working with a gang at Otatara, and when giVited a few moments’ respite he made use of the opportunity to gain his freedom. A search of the bush was immediately begun, but so far without success.
