RURAL INTERMEDIATE CREDITS APPOINTMENTS ANNOUNCED Press Association. WELLINGTON, To-day. : The Commissioner of Rural Intermediate Credit, Mr. J. W. Macdonald., announces that the Rural Intermediate Credit Board, as its meeting held on Friday, appointed the following members of district boards; Mr. J. E. Makgill, managing director of the Auckland Farmers* Freezing Co., to be member of the Auckland District Rural Intermediate Credit Board. Mr. J. F. Vercoe, Te Kuiti, to be member of the Waikato District Board. Mr. Vercoe farmed in the Te Kuiti district for nine years, and for the same period was manager of the Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Co., Ltd., Te Kuiti. He lias had wide farming experience, and acted as manager of the Assets Board of the Bank of New Zealand at Te Puke and Matamata. Mr. J. Livingston, sheepfarmer, Mangahei, to be member of the Hawke’s Bay District Board. Mr. Livingston is farming on his own account at Mangahei, 12 miles from Dannevirke, and has been a resident of the district for the past 28 years, lie is president of the Southern HaAvke’s Bay Farmers’ Union, a member of the Hawke’s Bay Land Board, and Hawke’s Bay War Relief Association, and assessor for the Dannevirke County Council. He possesses an intimate knowledge both of sheep farming and dairy farming. Mr. F. C. Page, Brightwater, to be member of the Nelson District Board. Mr. Page is engaged in farming pursuits in the Hope district and was president of the Nelson Agricultural and Pastoral Association in 1925. He was a member of the Murchison County Council for seven years, and while in Murchison was director of the Murchison Butter Factory. Mr. Page continues to be an active member of the Nelson Agricultural and Pastoral Association, and is chairman of the Waimea branch of the Farmers’ Union.
