RIALTO AND REGENT, EPSOM
“SHE’S A SHEIK” Bebe Daniels in ‘'She's a Sheik/' is the first feature on the programme to be shown at the Rialto and Regent, Epsom, Theatres. Bebe plays the part of Zaida, granddaughter of Sheik Yusiff ben Hamad, who believes true love will descend upon her with the swift certainty of lightning when the right man comes along. This idea, however, is not shared by the sheik, who is loved by his people and trusted by the French. His belief is derived from the fact that he anticipates trouble from Kada, a desert renegade, in the event that the proper reception is not given the latter’s court to Zaida. To protect himself, the sheik informs Kada that his granddaughter has just arrived from America, engaged. The second feature is “The Fair CoEd,” starring Marion Davies in a modern college girl’s romance.
