TECHNICAL KNOCK-OUT
CURLEY BEATS DEMSKY SYDNEY STADIUM BOUT News was received from the broadcast station 2BL, Sydney, that Johnny Curley was awarded a victory at Sydney Stadium over Paul Derasky, through a technical knock-out in the fifth round of a 15-round contest. Demsky went down for nine seconds, but when he recovered his feet he was not fit to continue, so the fight was awarded to Curley. Demsky had taken the count for nine seconds in a previous round.
