BEEF MARKET FIRM WESTFIELD STOCK SALE A short yarding of beef in all sections at Westfield to-day found a market firm at last week’s rates. Stockbrokers quote choicest ox beef up to 365. Owing, no doubt, to the fact that the sale was held one day earlier in the "eek than usual few of the better-known CTaziers had offerings forward. Keed, YVaerenga, made to £l3 15s. Slightly smaller, but fairly well finished S teers on account of H. Baylv, Okoroire, made to £l3 ss. A very mixed and mediocre quality yarding of cow and heifer beef comprised mostly cull dairy sorts. In fact, there was hardly a straight, yard of cattle in the whole offering and yery few weighty cattle were included ln this section. well-fini s hed young cows and heifeis rrom the Waikato and Whakatane helped to bring up the average standard the yarding. Extra well-finished heavy cows from this source made to Tteffers made to £lO.
