In the. concluding events of the North Island tennis tourney, Misses Knight and Clouston (Auckland) won both the women’s championship and handicap doubles. In the first they beat Misses N. and M. Beverley (Matamata), 6—4, 6—4, and in the handicap they again beat the Beverley sisters 6—l, 5—7, 7—5. Thomas and McCracken ( Hamilton) beat James and Bush (Te Arohai. 6 —4. 6 —l. in the final of the men's handicap doubles. Lees Cup Match (From Our Own Correspondent) MATATA, Monday. ' Matata withstood a challenge from Waiman afor the Lees Cup by 15 matches to four on Saturday. Details: Men’s Singles.—P. Howell beat N. Mensies, 9—4; E. Howell beat J. Wardlaw, 9 —S; R.
