A conference was held at Bombay between a large number of the ruling Princes of India and Sir Leslie Scott, formerly British Solicitor-Genera.. The Princes submitted a tentative scheme for their future position in the constitution, which they claim is at present most indefinite. Thev urge the appointment of thre.councils, as follows: <1) The Viceroy and Indian States Council, to deal with the Princes’ rights, vis-a-vis, the KingEmperor.
