Yesterday’s race for the City Tattersail’s Cup resulted: VAALS, 9.6 1 REONUI, 5.3 .. t EDGARDS, 6.12 ~ t fDead heat for second. Twelve started. Valparaiso made the early running and at the mile post was two lengths in front of Piastoon, with Reonui next. At the distance Reonui and Yaals headed Valparaiso, Vaals • won by two lengths. Time, 2m a course record. REMINDERS Owners and trainers will not forget that nominations for general events to be decided at the winter meeting of the Auckland Racing Club to be held on June 2, 4 and 6, will close at 5 p.m., Friday, May 4. Nominations for the winter meeting of the Wanganui Jockey Club, which is to be held on May 17 and 19, are due to close at 8 p.'m., Monday, April 30. Handicaps will be declared on Monday, May 7
