FIRE DESTROYS PAVILION
CHURCHES IN DANGER GOOD WORK BY BRIGADE (From Our Own Correspondent) TAIHAPE, Friday. A fire which endangered the Anglican and Roman Catholic churches occurred last evening, when the tennis pavilion belonging to the Presbyterian Bible Class was destroyed. The fire brigade answered an alarm promptly. . A slight breeze carried sparks from the fire in the direction of the other buildings, but the brigade was able to confine the fire to the pavilion. The building was not covered by insurance.
