THE painting competition tor ”*'• non-prize winners proved as popular aw the one of the fairies, and resulted in some bright ana imaginative work. bessie Perrett and Audrey Scddon have tied for first place, closely followed by Beryl Philiipstown. bessie Perrett has depicted the three little girls in gold shoes, dancing in a starry firmament, j while /Audrey Seddon's entry is ! carried out against a sunset sky of soft rose and mauve, the colours harmonising perfectly through- , out. beryl Phil I i pstown’s little ladies are sn.own in a woodland atmosphere with the addition ot butterflies, birds, a witch, and even a fairy piper.
