PRINCE EDWARD
“MONTE CARLO” “Monte Carlo,” starring Betty Balfour, is the first feature on the programme at the Rrince Edward Theatre to-night. In the story, Sir Hargrave Wendever was told by his physician that he had but one year to live; during that time Sir Hargrave decided to play fairy god-father to some one in need. Little Betty Oliver calls upon Sir Hargrave, posing as Robert Hewitt’s sister, just as Sir Hargrave has reached his decision. In reality, Betty is Robert’s fiancee, but has decided to appeal to Sir Hargrave as Robert’s sister for commission in advance on a portrait, that Robert is to paint of Sir Hargrave I and to Betty and Robert Sir Hargrave plays fairy godfather, taking them to Monte Carlo with him. ? oes as his assistant secretarv an< J_ Robei ' t to finish the portrait.
