FRANCE’S ELECTION WAY
(United P.A.—By Telegraph Copyright) (Australian Press Association) PARIS, Wednesday. The total number of candidates nominated for the general election is 3,735. This is easily a record. Many of the candidates know they have no hope of success. However, some of them think the free election posters are a good advertisement for them. Others merely wish to attract votes in order to prevent their adversaries’ success in the first ballot. The Communists have nominated a candidate ! for every constituency.
