Refuting Foot-and-Mouth Rumour.— Having seen a clipping from a Canadian newspaper that foot-and-mouth disease was prevalent here, the Auckland Chamber of Commerce telegraphed I j the Minister of Education, the Hon. W. Nosworthv, who replied that stop* were being taken to refute tho statement He thanked the chamber for its action.
