BUS COLLIDES WITH POLE

SKIDS ON WET CONCRETE A bus, owned by the Passenger Transport Company, collided with an electric-power pole and crashed into a concrete fence on the Great South Road, opposite Heald Road, this morning. The vehicle skidded on the wet concrete when overtaking a tramcar. The side of the bus was torn away, and the steering gear was broken. The bus was empty, and the driver was uninjured.
