Limbless Digger Gets Second in Swimming Race

TTNDAUNTED by the fact that he left his two legs and one arm in Flanders, James Turner entered the 50yds. swimming race at the limbless soldiers’ championship carnival at Vaucluse recently. With only his right arm to propel him, he plunged in with ten other contestants and reached the finishing post only two yards behind the winner. Mr. Turner, who is an accountant, received his second prize amid a barrage of cheers.
