ROBBED HER FRIEND

WOMAN'S MEAN ACT DID NOT NEED MONEY

Although she had £33 in her possession, Rita Alice Marshall, a young married woman, robbed another woman of £5. At the Police Court to-day she admitted the offence. Chief-Detective Hammond said that accused, who was the wife of a sailor, lived with another woman, whose husband was also away from home. After the other woman had collected her husband’s wages, accused stole £5 from her. She had no necessity to steal,” said Mr. Hammond, “for there was £33 in her possession. She is going to England in June, and part of her passage money is paid.” Accused was fined £5.
