PIRATES SEIZE SHIP
BIAS E-AY GANG VALUABLE BOOTY TAKEN (United P.A. —By Telegraph—CopyrightJ (United Service) HONG-KOXG, Tuesday. Another outrage has been committed by the notorious Bias Bay pirates. They boarded a Chinese steamer, the Hsinwah, hound from Shanghai to Hong-Kong, effected a coup at sea and gained control of the vessel. The:.' then took her to Bias Bay. Captain Jensen, and the chief officer, Mr. Liees, and others were taken ashore while the valuable cargo was unloaded. Later a Chinese gunboat appeared in the bay and the pirates made for the hills, taking their booty with them. Five passengers were also taken as captives. Captain Jensen signalled to the gunboat and a pursuit party was landed, but could not overtake the pirates.
