THAMES VALLEY RUGBY
ANNUAL MEETING HELD (From Our Own Correspondent) PAEROA, Tuesday,. At the annual meeting of the Thames Valley Rugby Union, held at Paeroa, Mr. J. W. Silcock presiding, the ba. ance sheet showed that the union had made a loss of about £ 60 on last year’s operations. This was on account of the bad weather experienced for representative matches during the season. A two-round competition was decided to be played for the Frank Poland Memorial Cup, and a one-round junior competition for the Sharebroker Cup. The headquarters of the qnion are to be at Paeroa.
Following are the officers elected: Patron. Mr. 11. Poland; president, Mr. .T. W. Silcock; vice-presidents, Messrs. TV. C. Kennedy (Piako), H. Dent (Hauraki Plains), W. P. Per.nell (Paeroa), and S. 11. Walmsley (Waihi); secretary, Mr. W. U. Nicholas (Paeroa); treasurer, Mr. J. 11. Walmsley (Paeroa); auditor, Mr. G. E. Allen (Paeroa) : delegates to New Zealand Union. Mr. F. Lockyer and Ur. Lawrence. The question of the election of selectors was referred to the sub-unions.
