TOWN-PLANNING PROPOSAL It is proposed that a survey oi Auckland be from the air. The executive of the Auckland Town Planning Association at a meei ing last evening discussed the appli cation of aerial photography to town planning. The Canadian Government had been carrying out such surveys for sometime. said Mr. Page Rowe, and the pro?K>sal would appeal to the mlUtarv authorities as a method of giving aii - men valuable experience. Mr. E. V. Blake stated that the Christchurch City Council had obtained an estimate of £3BO for a survey from the air of that city. The chairman, Mr. W. J. Holdswortli. said that the survey would be within tho means of the City Council and suggested that the proposal be placed before tlie Town Planning Committee of the council, where members of the association, who were on tho commi; - tee, would support it.
