DISMISSED CHAPLAIN

NO REDUCTION IN STIPEND (From Our Oicn Correspondent) HAMILTON, Tuesday. Dean Barnett denies that any reduction has been made in the Rev. J. Rich’s stipend through dismissal from the office of domestic chaplain as reported in the morning newspaper. He says that the matter will be decided at the first meeting of the cathedral chapter after the parishioners’ meeting. The Rev. Frank Harty states that it is utterly untrue that he has had differences with the bishop. The reason for his leaving was entirely due to his desire to resume industrial and mission work in England.
