LEAPS FROM AIRPLANE
NEW WORLD RECORD / (United P. A.—Eg Telegraph —— Copyright.) (United Service) Reed. 9.10 a.m. VANCOUVER, Mon. A new world record for succesful leaps from an airplane was established on Sunday at the Rantoul, Illinois, training field, when ten parachute jumpers of the Army Air Corps School leaped safely from a tri-motored 16passenger plane in eight seconds at an altitude of 2,000 feet. The Virginia Army Corps held the previous record with nine men.
