LITTLE G-RL’S DEATH

PLAYED WITH FIRE Press Association. WOODVILLE, To-day. Last evening Gladys Rae, the three-year-old daughter of Mr. John Mabey, farmer at Papatawa, was severely burned through playing with fire. Her clothes caught alight and her mother, who was absent at the moment getting the mail, returned to find the child in a bad way. A doctor was summoned and the child was taken to hospital in Dannevirke, but she died at 11 o’clock last night.
