BUNDABERG SERUM FAILURE

DEATHS OF CHILDREN

(United P. A. —By Telegraph — Copyright.) Reed. 9.5 a.m. MELBOURNE, To-day. The Royal Commission which was appointed by the Federal Ministry to investigate the Bundaberg serum tragedies is presenting an interim report within a fortnight. While the report will deal exhaustively with the circumstances of the deaths of the children at Bundaberg, the commission has been so far unable to establish definitely the causes cf the failure of the serum.' To enable this to be done, research extending over a year or more may be necessary, and the commission has been informed that the Ministry has no desire to limit the scope of investigation. while useful work may be expected.
