PLAN THAT FAILED
LUGGAGE THEFT THWARTED VISITOR’S LAPSE rinding a luggage ticket in Auckland, a visitor from Invercargill decided to call at the railway baggage room and see wliat could be done. The visitor, Henry Owen Wixon, aged 22, was charged at the Police Coifrt to-day with attempting to steal luggage from the Railway Department. Chief-Detective Hammond said that accused had explained the finding of the ticket, and then he and another man attempted to claim the luggage. Pleading guilty', Wixon was remanded to appear for sentence on Friday.
