EPISODE’S FINAL RUN

THE champion two-year-old of the season, Episode, will be making her last appearance of the season at Awapuni this week. She is in the Sires’ Produce Stakes, seven furlongs, to-mor-row, and the Manawatu Stakes, six furlongs, on Thursday. The former is for two-year-olds, and this will no doubt be her mission. Two of her opponents will be Freehold and Raasay, whom she beat pointless at Ellerslie a few days ago. From the seven furlong barrier there is a straight run of three furlongs, and this should enable Raasay to settle down. Nevertheless it looks as if Episode will be a short - priced favourite.
