Obituary

MR. ALFRED JAMES BOND (From Our Oven Correspondent) ■ j HAMILTOX, Sunday. The death occurred at Hamilton today of Mr. Alfred James Bond, aged 43 3*ears. Mr. Bond, who was the son of the late Mr. J. S. Bond, an old ’ W'aikato resident, was born in Cam- ! bridge. Mr. Bond was a lieutenant i in the 16tli Waikato Regiment, and he : enlisted with the Main Body in 1914. j and saw service on Gallipoli, where he * was wounded. He was also gassed i !in France. He was twice- mentioned in : ] despatches. On returning from the - ! front he entered into business as a • | printer with his brother in Hamilton. .*• He is survived by a widow.
