PRISONER’S COMPLAINT

“I’ve got a bad record, and every time the police see me they think there’s something wrong,” said "Walter Raymond Sutherland, aged 40, who was charged at the Police Court today with being idle and disorderly. The police evidence was that accused had not been working and was seen frequently in undesirable company. Sutherland said he only came out of prison in January, and had worked until Easter. ITe owned to a bad record, but he was trying to make good and had work to go to. The magistrate said he would give accused a chance and adjourned the case until July 16.
