MAORI IN GIRL’S DRESS

ROGUE AND VAGABOND Press Association. WELLINGTON, Friday. In the Police Court to-day a Maori, George Grace, aged 19, was charged before Mr. W. J. Riddell, S.M., with being a rogue and vagabond, having been previously convicted of being an idl© and disorderly person. Grace pleaded guilty to this charge and to another one of stealing at Tangoio a blue dress, a ring and a 10s note belonging to Mary Totu. When arrested, said Sub-Inspector Lander, accused, who appeared to be very effeminate, was wearing the stolen dress. Grace was remanded for sentence, the magistrate saying he would have him examined by a doctor.
