ATLANTIC’S TOLL OF FLIERS TO WEST
Disaster attended the East-to-West transatlantic attempts of these adventurers, all within a year:— Captain St. Romain and two companions, lost during a flight from France to Brazil. Captain Nungesser and Captain Coli, lost on a flight from Paris to to New York. Colonel Minchin, Captain Leslie Hamilton, and the Princess Loewenstein-Wertheim, lost on the way from England to Ottawa. Miss Elsie Mackay and Captain Hinchcliffe, lost in a flight from England to America.
