PLAGUE IN INDIA. A grave plague epidemic in the United Provinces is causing 4,200 deaths weekly. STRIKE OF COOKS. The cooks yesterday refused to man the UuddartParker steamer Werribee at Melbourne until the dispute on the Ulimaroa is settled. The company now has four ships tied up. SENTENCE OF DEATH.—Sentence of death was passed at Perth on Edward Nicholas Kelly for the murder of Police-Sergeant Alexander Mark, who was shot when he was trying to arrest Kelly. GREYCLIFFE CLAIM. The Chief Justice of New South Wales Wales, Air.
