GERMAN CARS
IMPORTED INTO AUCKLAND Two German cars were imported into Auckland last year, one for private use, the other to a spare-parts company which is in liquidation. No effort was made to sell these cars. On Thursday a German car was landed, concerning which the representative of a British motor company said that it showed marked alterations and that the high petrol mileage was only a stunt. We are prepared, not only to show the British representative that it is not a stunt, but to pay to the Auckland Hospital £IOO a mile for every mile that the 9-14 h.p. does under 50 miles tor the gallon, if the British representative is prepared to pay £IOO a mile for every mile the Opel dtfes over 50 miles to the gallon. The public who are interested are invited to ride in an Opel car, which puts them under no obligation, and if they ring 40-555, or write to Everitt and Greeves, 27 Queen Street, Auckland, and mention when they would like a demonstration of the superior Opel car, New Zealand’s finest car will be at their command. —7.
