BY RAIL TO WAITOMO Tho success of its last excursion to , tho Waitomo Caves has prompted the j Railway Department to run another j before the winter. This will be run on Sunday. The train will leave Auckland at 8.50 a.m. and will arrive at Hangatiki at 12.40 o’clock. Stops will be made at NcwmarK-t. Manurewa, Pukekohe, and several . other stations on the way to Frankton Junction. Motor-buses will meet the i train at Hangitiki to carry excursionists to the caves. On the return journey the train will leave Hangatiki at 6.15 o’clock, arriv- j ing in Auckland at 10.15. The Sunday exexursions from Wha- , ngbxei to Opua has also proved very j popular this summer, and another wiU | be run by the railways on Sunday. These popular trips have meant a considerable increase in revenue to j the department
