THEFT BY YOUNG MAN

MONEY STOLEN FROM ROOM (From Our Own Correspondent) DARGAVILLE, To-day. A young man named Cornelius Clune, aged 21 years, appeared at the Police Court this morning charged with the tjieft at Frankton, of £2 from a bedroom. Accused was arrested yesterday and admitted the offence. He pleaded guilty and asked for his name to be suppressed. The presiding justices refused the request, and said that although it was accused’s second offence they did not desire to send him to prison. They imposed a fine of £ 5 and ordered restitution to be made.
