LETTERS OF GOLD

ST. JAMES’S THEATRE There -is an air of finish about one part of the new St. James’s Theatre this morning. High on the topmost wall, facing Lorn© Street, letters of gold stand out on a pure white surface. The name of the theatre is the first part of the building to be finished. Inside the structure is a hive of industry. Hammering of carpenters, clattering of bricklayers, the rattle of machinery and the flop of cement make a melody of activity. The theatre is rapidly taking shape and one can imagine what the finished building will look like.
