“THE RINGER”

PLANS FOR “THE TERROR” Auckland audiences are being thrilled every night by “The Ringer,” the Edgar Wallace mystery melodrama, which Maurice Moscovitch, under the J. C. Williamson management, is presentThere was another large attendance at His Majesty’s Theatre last night, which thoroughly appreciated the mystifying situations evolved by the exceedingly fertile brain of the English crime novelist, and interpreted with such skill by Mr. Moscovitch and his company. Supporting artists include Mary MacGregor, Bertha Riccardo, Nat Madison, Ashtan Jarry, Reginald Newson, George Mildred Cottell, Kiore King, and Patric Curwen. Plans open to-morrow at Lewis Eady’s for “The Terror,” another Wallace thriller, which will be staged at His Majesty’s Theatre for the first time in Hew Zealand by the same company, and under Mr. Moscovitch’s direct supervision. In Australia “The Terror” was just as much a* favourite as “The Ringer,” as the financial returns showed. Both are in true Wallace style—intriguing from the initial rise of the curtain, sensational and thoroughly mysterious! These plays have made Edgar Wallace a rich man. They have enjoyed world-wide popularity. There is even a demand for more in a similar strain.

“The Ringer” will be presented again this evening.
