MEETING OF WOMEN’S BRANCH A discussion took place at the last meeting of the Auckland Women’s Branch of the New Zealand Labour Party on the proposed campaign against compulsory military training, but action was deferred. The secretary was asked to convey to Mrs. Rowlatt, the late president, the members’ regret at her departure for Australia, and to wish her success. A report of the welcome home social tendered to the Labour M.P.’s last December was read by Mrs. Dreaver. The report of the delegates to the Women’s Conference was also read, and Mrs. Dreaver and Mrs. Soljak thanked for attending the conference. The branch endorsed Mr. P. Fraser’s Unemployment Insurance Bill.. The election of officers resulted* President, Mrs. Soljak; vice-presidents," Mesdames Ballantyne and Crookshank: committee, Mesdames Dawson, Macready, Harrison. Prince and Cassidy: secretary, Mrs. Kemp: corresponding secretary, Mrs. Gibson: delegate to L.R.Cj, Mrs. Cassie.
