DIPLOMATIC ROADS ALL LEAD TO ROME
MUSSOLINI AND BALKANS MINISTERS’ CONVERSATIONS By Cable.—Press Association. — Copyright. LONDON, Tuesday. The Rome correspondent of the “Daily Chronicle” says all diplomatic roads now lead to. Rome. The Prime Minister, Signor Mussolini, is about to receive Count Bethlen, Premier of Hungary, M. Zaleski, M. Michalakopoulos, and Rushdi Bey, the Polish, Greek and Turkish Foreign Ministers, and Dr. Koehler, German Finance Minister.
Signor Mussolini has also had conversations with the Yugoslav and Rumanian Ministers to Rome: This makes it evident, says the correspondent, that he is engaged in an offensive against the Little Entente. An agreement with Poland would strengthen Signor Mussolini’s position. As he has already, won Hungary to his point of view as regards the Balkans he would then be able to deal with Bulgaria and Caecho-Sloyakia at his leisure. The relations between Yugoslavia and Italy are much better as the result of the exchanges of views. Later on Signor Mussolini hopes to solve the Tangier and Tunis problems.—-A. and N.Z.
