SALE AT CHRISTCHURCH COMPETITION SLACK CHRISTCHURCH, To-day. There was a good attendance at Pyne, Gould, and Guinnes’s annual sale of trotting-bred yearlings and two-year-olds this morning, but bidding was exceptionally slack. Out of 34 lots offered, only four were The principal sale was that of a two-year-old bay filly by Ballin —Ma Belle, the property of Mrs. Mabel Duncan, for 600 guineas, to a North Island client. Mr. J. McDonald purchased a bay colt by Matehlight for 90 guineas.
