KNOCKED DOWN BY CYCLE
OTAHUHU MAN HURT While crossing the Great South Road, Otahuhu, at the junction of Huia Road, on Monday evening, Mr. Edward Ayre, who resides in Huia Road, was knocked down by a motorcycle ridden by Mr. John Edgar Irwin, of Blockhouse Bay. In trying to avoid the pedestrian the motor-cyclist swerved, and skidding, knocked him down. After receiving medical attention for head injuries from Dr. Currie, the injured man was removed to the Auckland Hospital.
