VAST WAVE BATTERS LINER LEVIATHAN
BIG SHIP DOCKED By Cable.—Press Association. — Copyright, Reed. 9.5 a.m. NEW YORK, Monday. Tlie great liner Leviathan has been docked after being battered and damaged by a vast wave, which struck her in mid-ocean and smashed a searchlight on the forward deck, 85 feet above the water. The wave also smashed the lifeboats and bent ventilators and the iron top of a companion-way. Tons of water entered the forward part of the vessel, necessitating the removal of some third-cabin passengers.—A. and N.Z.
