BIG JAPANESE FLEET REACHES HONG-KONG
AN OFFICIAL VISIT BRITISH PLANES AS ESCORT By Cable.—Press Association. — Copyright. Reed. 9.5 a.m. HONG-KONG, Monday. British naval planes escorted ,be first battle-cruiser squadron and the first destroyer flotilla of the Japanese Navy, 21 ships in all, into the harbour this morning, on the occasion of the official visit of Admiral Kato. This is the largest aggregation of the Japanese fleet ever to visit a British port. It includes three 34,000-ton battle-cruisers. The fleet will stay here for a week. There is an elaborate programme of entertainment.—A. and N.Z.
