EASTER SHOOTING
PICNIC AT PANMURE AUCKLAND GUN CLUB There was a large attendance of members aril visitors at the annual picnic of the Auckland Gun Club at Panmure. The following seven competitors divided the first match of five birds: Dr. Clauncli (29yds), F. Seceombe (28yds), G. Peach. (26yds), A. H. Pellow (26yds), W. Grant (24yds), I. Lomas (23yds), and W. Fai.rlie (21yds). There were 21 entries for the big shoot, for which a trophy had been donated by Mr. D. Cairns. The stake money was divided between A. E. Macredi© (18yds), J. Robertson (16yds), A. H. Pellow (16yds), and W. E. Grant (15yds). Robertson with 38 birds won the trophy in the shoot-off. Pellow missed his 26th, Macredie his 27th and Grant his 38th. A 10-bird match for a rug presented by Mr. Russell was won by S. Roberts at 13yds, who scored an outright win with a possible. In the last shoot, a double-rise match, the following tied with nine birds out of 10: Dr. Claunch (16yds), F. Seceombe (16yds), D. S. Ewing (16yds), and G. Peach (13yds). In the shoot-off Seceombe and Peach divided the stake money. Novelty events were won by Messrs. Jones, Lomas, Eric, Migan. Jensen and Ewing.
