When Edwin Carewe advised the star she would be given the opportunity to picture the famous Helene Hunt Jackson character on the screen, she sent to her home in Mexico City asking for the old family dresses, belonging to her grandmother, ancient ; jewels that were part of her family I belongings, and precious pieces of silks ! and laces that were hundreds of years old.
