The d* tails have not been revealed, bnt it understood that Captain Kingsford Smith, the Australian airman, will probably be Lieutenant Pond’s coni panion.—A. and N.Z.-Sun. NEW YORK, Friday Lieutenant Bert Hall announce that he will attempt to make a solo non-stop airplane flight across th Pacific from Seattle. Washington to Tokyo, late in April or in May. If he is successful he will continue on around the world in an attempt to lower the existing record. For th*past five years Lieutenant Hall has been engaged in aviation in Japan.— A. and N.Z.-Sun. WOMAN MAKES RECORDS LONDON, Friday Lady Heath, flying in a light airplane, has arrived at Cairo. She has thus established three records. Shis the first woman to have flown through Africa, the first to fly in a light plane from the Cape to Cairo, and the first to make a solo flight lover that route. The machine iidentical with that in which Captain Lancaster and Mrs. Miller flew to Australia. —A. and N.Z.
