\yiTH but five left in the Great Northern St. Leger on Monday at EMerslie, the interest is almost solely confined to the prospective duel between Satrap and Laughing Prince. To-day Satrap is engaged in the President’s Handicap, one and a-quarter miles. while Laughing Prince is taking on the milers in the Easter Handicap. Should they both win—not an unlikely contingency—then the duel on Monday will be well worth seeing. In any case it is going to be a most interesting tussle, with the honours perhaps to the master tactician, for with a three or four-horse field it is going to be a matter of tactics. will be on Satrap and L. G. Morris on Laughing Prince, while B. H. Morris rides Damaris. It is not known yet whether Jamieson’s pair, In the Shade and Ti Tree, will run. Today’s results will no doubt decide this.
