MAN WITH GRIEVANCE

INTRUDER IN HOUSE POLICE MAKE ARREST When Frank Callagher, aged 44, went on Thursday in search of a man against whom he had a grievance, he did not know that the police were also looking for him. pALLAGHER was charged at the Police Court to-day with being unlawfully on premises in Park Road. When Callagher was arrested, he told the constable that he was looking for a man against whom he had a grievance. Mary Martin, a hoarding-house-keeper, said that accused had been turned out of her home because of his bad habits. Since he had been turned out, he had often come back, causing trouble. On one occasion an attempt had been made to set the house on fire. Accused began an unpleasant cross-examination, but the progress ot this was stopped by the magistrate. Senior-Sergeant Cummings said that accused had been causing a lot of trouble, and it was necessary to make futher inquiries. He was convicted and remanded to appear for sentence next Thursday.
